ATTENDANCE:
Attendance is an important part of your learning.  The school’s handbook policy on tardiness will be followed.

HOMEWORK:
Homework is a powerful learning tool.  It is our expectation that you will demonstrate sincere and consistent effort when completing your homework assignments and that you will be accountable for its timely completion.   Points will be deducted from homework that is not submitted at the beginning of class.  Late assignments must be completed by the end of the unit.  We understand that you have a life outside of our classrooms, therefore we will allow you to omit one homework assignment in each class per quarter without penalty.  If you have difficulty completing your homework, you will receive assistance outside of class.

QUIZZES:
We understand that your performance on quizzes may not always best demonstrate your learning.  Therefore, additional assessments will be available for you to show us that you have learned the material.  The additional assessments must be completed by the end of the unit.

ABSENCES:
Absences deprive you of the valuable classroom learning experience.  It is our expectation that you will make every effort to attend our classes.  In the event that you are absent, make up work will only be accepted if an office slip is presented to us.  You will be accountable for arranging completion of missed work within two days of your return.  If the missed work is not completed within the allotted time, points will be deducted.

LATE ARRIVALS:
When you arrive late to school, check in with the teachers of the classes missed.  It is your responsibility to submit the work due that day and obtain the assignments given.

EXTRA HELP:
Mr. Blum, Mr. Curry, and Mrs. Dexter are committed to your success at Greely High School.  To ensure your academic success, we are frequently available for extra assistance before and after school as well as during the school day.  For extra help, please make an appointment to meet before school, during a common study hall, or after school.

CONTACT INFORMATION:
If you need to get in touch with Mr. Blum, Mr. Curry, or Mrs. Dexter, we are only an email or phone call away.  Often times, students will contact teachers directly to let them know they will not be in class and request for homework assignments.
