SAT considers student referrals based on the following information:
• Likelihood of success based on referral, teacher feedback, grades, attendance, discipline
• Appropriateness of the Learning Center as an intervention
Students must sign a contractual agreement with the Learning Center staff, which will include:
• The student's individual goals and a plan to achieve the goals
• An agreement to adhere to the Learning Center expectations (Listed here) and the school rules set forth in the Student Handbook
Learning Center Staff will:
• Verify data and conduct additional research if necessary
• Meet with student to fill out Learning Center contract
• Change student's schedule to the Learning Center
• Contact parent by letter or email to notify them of placement
